1. PURPOSES OF DATA PROCESSING

Your personal data will be processed by Dentius for the following purposes:

  • In order to be able to provide health care
  • To provide the government and compulsory health insurance partners with data guaranteeing your right to healthcare (legal obligation)
  • To remind / confirm your (next) appointment (implementation of the agreement)
  • To remind you of your annual or semi-annual consultation (implementation of the agreement)
  • To ensure the security of (access to) dental practices by video surveillance (legitimate interest)
  • To survey your overall satisfaction with one treatment provided by means of an e-mail survey

The following personal data may be processed for the purposes described above:

  • Personal identification data: surname, first name, health insurance number, national register number
  • Personal contact details: address, telephone number, e-mail address
  • Administrative personal data: gender, date of birth
  • Medical personal data: general health data, oral health data and all data associated with the latter (including x-rays, reports, examination results, anamnesis, oral condition, etc.)

We only process collected data for the purposes for which we collected it. These data are only accessible to those who, in the performance of their duties, require access to it.
 

2. COMMUNICATION TO THIRD PARTIES

We may communicate the data that you have communicated to us to third parties when this is necessary for the achievement of the purposes described above. For example, we use a third party to:

Administrative support relating to care and reimbursement of care by social security

Provision of additional dental services (including oral protocols)

Processing and storage of data in our dental care file (backup, hosting and software as a service included). We have entered into a processing contract with this provider which sets out the measures necessary to ensure the security of your personal data.
 

3. CONSERVATION PERIOD

Dentius does not store personal data longer than necessary for the purposes for which it was provided and does not keep it beyond the legal deadline. There may be times when data needs to be kept for longer, for example when this is essential for long-term or recurrent processing.
 

4. DATA SECURITY

We have taken the appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data from any unlawful processing.
 

5. YOUR RIGHTS WITH REGARD TO YOUR DATA

You have the right to consult, correct or delete the personal data that you have transmitted to us. You also have the right to object to the processing of your personal data (or part of it) by our organization or by one of our data controllers to the extent that this does not apply. conflict with the legal framework for data processing.

You also have the right, in certain cases, to have the data you have provided us transferred. The legal framework will always be taken into account to fully or partially respond to this request. We will respond to your request within one month. If the question is complex, this period can be extended by one month.
 

6. COMPLAINTS

If, as a patient, you believe that there has been a violation of the processing of your personal data, you can address a written complaint to Dentius (via the electronic form available on the website). If the internal processing of complaints does not lead to a solution, the person concerned is free to contact the Data Protection Authority (Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels - www.databeschermingsautoriteit.be).
